Full Membership

After completed Skill Upgrading Scheme - In-service tour guide training course and having passed both the written and practical examinations, the tourist guide can apply Full Membership of HARTCO.

Associate Membership

Student Membership

Associate Membership is offered to those who have completed the specified training programmes approved by HARTCO.

HARTCO's Activities

workshops, seminars and training courses are conducted from time to time
familiarisation visits to new tourist attractions
newsletters to update members with new tourist attractions/ products
articipate in international conventions or activities and exchange experience with overseas tour co-ordinators in order to gain more knowledge and raise the professional image

Mandatory Workshops

With effect from year 2000, mandatory workshops on topics related to the daily work of tourist guides are organised for HARTCO members. All members are required to attend at least one mandatory workshop which will be scheduled during the year. This will be a pre-requisite of membership renewal for the following year.
